RBC & AllMind

Over the past year, AllMind worked closely with teams at RBC to bring AI-native research workflows into one of Canada's most sophisticated financial institutions. The collaboration centered on the AllMind platform: a unified workspace where analysts and advisors could search across market data, filings, broker research, earnings transcripts, news, and internal materials from one place.

The goal was not to run a lightweight product test. It was to understand how AI could support real institutional research workflows, from earnings season coverage to event-driven analysis and client-facing preparation.

The partnership also included:

  • Working with RBC's cybersecurity group on enterprise-grade access controls, permissions, deployment requirements, infrastructure, and audit logging.
  • Presenting to the RBC Board of Directors and leaders from major Canadian banks on the impact of AI in institutional research.
  • Anwaar Malik, our founder, speaking to an audience of ~300, including leaders from Canada's Big Five banks, government officials, and members of Canada's finance and innovation community.

This was hands-on product work with real users inside a tier-one bank, shaped by enterprise requirements, daily research needs, and direct feedback from RBC teams.

What AllMind Does

AllMind is an AI-powered research terminal designed for investment professionals. The platform gives buyside and sellside firms, private equity teams, and wealth managers one place to gather information, synthesize research, and turn large volumes of market data into investment-ready work.

Our platform gives you:

  • AI-powered search across 750M+ documents: Broker research, SEC/SEDAR filings, earnings transcripts, news, IR materials, and alternative data. Find exactly what you're looking for in seconds.
  • Aggregated broker research without needing entitlements: Access aftermarket research from major providers directly within the platform.
  • Custom reports in minutes, not weeks: Generate initiation reports, investment memos on any company, asset, or portfolio with the documentation to back up your recommendations.
  • Live and historical investor relations: AI-powered sentiment analysis on management outlook.
  • 70+ years of fundamentals and estimates: Historical data, analyst estimates, and revisions from top global financial firms.
  • Your own data room: Upload internal documents (holdings, portfolios, proprietary research) and analyze them alongside AllMind's database at scale.

Our AI models are trained in-house specifically for investment professionals, giving analysts a workflow built around finance rather than a general-purpose chatbot layered on top of documents.

What the Collaboration Focused On

RBC teams faced the same problem we see across the industry: too much time spent hunting for information, not enough time acting on it.

Together, we focused on three areas where AI could make institutional research workflows faster and more reliable:

  • Faster research: Search across 750M+ documents like filings, transcripts, broker research, and news in seconds instead of hours.
  • Cleaner workflows: One terminal for research tasks that often require jumping between market terminals, internal drives, browser tabs, and email attachments.
  • AI built for finance: Models trained specifically for investment professionals, not repurposed general-purpose AI.

RBC's cybersecurity review helped us tighten our access controls and audit trails. Capital Markets teams pressure-tested event-driven workflows. The investment team helped define what "useful on day one" actually looks like for analysts working inside a major financial institution.

How the Platform Was Delivered

For RBC, AllMind was delivered as a secure web-based research platform built for institutional teams. The product experience focused on giving analysts and advisors a single workspace for the full research loop:

  • Search across filings, transcripts, broker research, news, fundamentals, estimates, and internal materials.
  • Ask finance-specific questions and receive cited answers backed by source documents.
  • Generate investment memos, earnings summaries, initiation reports, and client-ready research outputs.
  • Upload proprietary files and analyze them alongside AllMind's institutional data library.
  • Work within enterprise requirements for access controls, permissions, infrastructure, and auditability.

The platform was designed to meet analysts where they already work: fast enough for live market workflows, structured enough for institutional research, and secure enough for a major bank environment.

Our Team

AllMind was founded by Anwaar Malik, with a team of PhDs, former quants, AI researchers, and investment managers drawing on experience from TD, IMC, IBM, CC&L, and JP Morgan. We built this platform because we lived these inefficiencies firsthand.

Today we work with institutional clients and independent advisory firms across North America, including RBC, one of our earliest large-bank partners as we scaled the platform in 2025.

Investment professionals lose too much time to low-value research chores: hunting across tabs, reconciling data sources, and formatting outputs. We exist to give that time back so research teams can focus on judgment, relationships, and better investment decisions.
